About Us

MTÜ Südamete Soojus ("Warmth of Hearts") is a charitable and volunteer-based organisation that has been bringing together people willing to help others for more than 13 years.

Our story began in May 2013 with a charitable initiative at the Neurology Department of Mustamäe Children's Hospital in Tallinn. On 13 January 2014, the organisation was officially registered. For many years, the organisation has been led by Anna Rehema and Viktoria Erofeeva.

The name Südamete Soojus translates from Estonian as "Warmth of Hearts". For us, it is not just a name but a guiding principle. We believe that even a small act of kindness can brighten someone's day and sometimes even change a person's life.

Over the years, a large community of volunteers, partners and friends has grown around our organisation. Together we organise charity campaigns, concerts, camps, educational and cultural events, support families facing difficult circumstances and help those who need care and attention the most.

A special part of our work is the long-term support of children living in substitute care homes. For many years we have cooperated with the Lootus substitute home in Sillamäe, organising trips, workshops, camps, celebrations and other activities that provide children with new experiences, knowledge and the feeling that there are always people who care about them.

One of the greatest strengths of our organisation is our volunteer club. Over the years, Südamete Soojus has brought together a large community of active and caring people of different ages and professions.

We believe that volunteering is not only about helping others but also about learning, personal growth, finding friends and meeting like-minded people. That is why we regularly organise training sessions, workshops, meetings, hikes, excursions, cultural visits, group trips and informal gatherings for our volunteers. Many people join us as volunteers and later become friends of the organisation and members of our extended team united by shared values and a desire to do good.

In 2023, MTÜ Ida Südamete Soojus was established to develop projects in Ida-Virumaa. The organisation was officially registered on 2 March 2023 and is led by Anna Rehema, Julia Golubeva and Elena Aminchikova. Its main focus is community development, youth work, environmental initiatives, project management and cooperation between non-profit organisations, residents, educational institutions and businesses in the region.

Today, both organisations work closely together. We are united by common values, a strong volunteer team and a shared desire to make people's lives a little better. We not only provide support but also create opportunities for children, young people, families and volunteers to learn, grow, communicate and actively participate in community life. We implement charitable, youth, cultural, educational and environmental projects, organise camps, concerts, community events and initiatives aimed at building a strong and caring society.

Over the years, our work has received significant public recognition. In 2017, MTÜ Südamete Soojus received the honorary award "Vabatahtliku sõbra märk" for its contribution to the development of volunteering in Estonia. In 2024, the organisation's leader Anna Rehema was awarded the title "Aasta Vabatahtlike Kaasaja" for her long-term work in engaging and supporting volunteers. In the same year, MTÜ Ida Südamete Soojus was recognised as one of the most notable civic organisations in the region and received the title "Ida-Viru Kodanikuühendus 2024".

Both organisations are included in Estonia's list of public benefit organisations eligible for tax incentives (tulumaksusoodustusega ühingud), confirming their social impact and transparent operations.

Thank you to everyone who walks this path with us and helps make good deeds possible.

The chain of kindness never ends.
